Description
St Agnes of the Lakes - Feybahn's Leap
The view across St Agnes Lake, from Colum's bay towards 'Red Feybahn's Leap' which towers over this highland gem, in the territory of Clan Carsidy. The last survivor of a treacherous nightime raid by a rival clan, Feybahn was hunted up the shoulder of the mountain till he was left with no option but to leap into the
conifers below.
He did survive to father a new clan, but, mind you, legend suggests that he and his wild brothers, well before the raid, used to dare each other to secretly leap from this self same point ( although carefully hiding the practice from their elders ). The various injuries sustained by the wild Cormacks over a year or two were tended by healer Dannancy of Fordcross, in nearby Glentumbill.
Perric Pass to the right, leads over into the Pale Green Hill, reputed to be home to at least one branch of the lesser fey, as well as the
descendants of old Turrimane the Younger. He had, according to the bards, six fingers on each hand, as well as matched brown and green eyes. This appears, it is said, in all true male descendants.
Daughters tend to have longer elfin fingers, but dazzling grey-green eyes and fair complexions, from a fey-bride, it seems, saved from drowning
in a sheltered lochan by Turrimane's natural father ...

I really like the water. It looks like it is full of peat. Nice image.
