Description

Just before my hike, I was talking to 3 people asking me about the lava. I gave them advice, safety tips, some walking sticks and made sure they had enough water with them. One of the hikers was out there when the newly formed lava bench had collapsed into the ocean last year. The size of the bench was over 40 acres of land. She said she heard the noise, felt the ground shake and ran for her life. A frightening experience for her. Will let this tongue of lava get a little longer. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

That is a lot of land to drop suddenly into the sea, wow. Great tongue there, let's see how long it gets! :) Was the lava that grey color? If not, you may want to stop down and EV or 2.

I've never seen lava up close, and I think I'd find just this little bit scary, to say nothing of 40 acres. (!!)

Kort...Although I did make a few adjustments after this shot, this gray was the true colors for this area. Other areas were more shinny silver. Aloha

Impressive shot. Must be a hot tongue. Excellent photo! BTW, Kurt (kurtsart) wrote me that he has found a photo from me on a russian art side. When I looked at this side I found a photo from you too (Picture Window). Here is the link http://www.artfile.ru/oboi/b/i.php?i=b|234164. Thats really not cool.

Wow awesome shot sharky! Kudos to you and any other human that wants to walk through those fields. My biggest gamble with 'fields' has been walking through cattle pastures and landing on a meadow muffin L Monstrous tongue ... great capture~

Is this the nose from yesterday? I wonder if the phrase, " Feet don't fail me now!" originated in Hawaii?
