Dear Rozanne, I'm rushing like crazy today!!! (See below!!!) HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!!!! These are really lovely!! I'm always fascinate by minerals!! I see some that I can't even believe are real!!! I'm always left with my mouth hanging open after visiting the museum!!! You might try porjecting a light through this specimen. You've likely to create some interesting patterns!! Might try it with a polarizer between it and the light source - even then lens from sunglasses. It looks like there might be some Icelandic spar there - if so, you might get some very suprising effects with the polarizer!!! Really pretty quartz and great macro work bring it to "life!!!!" I've fallen so far behind this last week as things have been really hectic while THE Boss has been gone. And sadly, it's going to get worse. He got back in early Friday morning from Mexico and now he and I are headed to the Far East this afternoon!! Even worse, I'm about to spend 14 plus hours in the back of a Boeing "bus" as the Cessna CJ3 is not made for ocean hopping the Pacific. Even the Citation X would need some fuel stops. It's a long darn way!! We're heading to Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Macao so far. I was wanting to "go somewhere" but not too sure about all this - a mountain top seems a lot more peaceful than all the hustle and bustle ahead of me!! Anyway, I'll be gone for ten days or so. I'll be checking e-mail and Renderosity IM's as often as I can. Love ya!!!! Meredith![Meredith Elaine Wilson - MeredithLand](http://www.meredith-wilson.com/COG/TinyHeart.gif)

Magnificent. Nature can never be outdone for beauty. What a treasure you share with us in your wonderful photographs. Thank you, Rozanne. Hugs, x:)

Very nice crystals, Rozanne. I particularly like the bottom one. It is like an ice cave. I used to look into crystals and of course glass marbles ( I even swallowed a couple once in Primary 4! ) and let my imagination wander. Have a nice Sunday. It is snowing/sleeting here in Glasgow.. Regards, John.

I swear, if you had not said where these came from....I would have thought these were images from the lava fields.

Lovely crystal macros. The middle is my favorite -- it has a magical quality to it!

Now that is really something. I keep going back and looking again and again. It's so easy to see why crystals so often are seen as mystical when you get photos like this!
