Description

Hello again. I know, I know. I did say the updated Ranger image probably wouldn't warrant a re-post. I just thought some of you kind people might like to see their suggestions put into effect. I think I've attended to the major gripes, as well as a couple of my own. I hope you all like it. It was a team effort!

Very good! You've made changes without loosing the power and majesty of the first image.

It was great before, perfect now. Nice sky, nice bit of shadow under the cape neck, and such a dramatic face. Perfection.

Thanks again to all who helped point me in the right direction. The hardest part was remembering exactly what post-work I did on the previous image. It was 3am after all! Most importantly, I managed to work my old flame (a strong diagonal compositional element) into the image. ;)

This is wonderful! I love the sepia tones to it that give it a strong presentation without trying to. Your texture for Apollo is delightful. He looks just like I'd expect a Ranger to look. Excellent repost of the original. It retains the same power but is just better.

I missed this the first time, glad I caught the re-post. Glad you took the time to re-work, because the result is fantastic. Nothing to critique here, this is a wonderful image of a strong, beautifully textured character. Love the added accessories, the background no longer competes with the face and nicely outlines his shoulder.

Doesn't look like a personage that I want ot make angry. Good job, all around; keep it coming. DPH

No crits on this one. A stronger image all around, and what the Critique Group is for. Nice one!

Well worth the repost. This is so much better (that is not to denigrate the first image) but just those touches have made such a difference.

Wow, somehow I missed the first one, but this is awesome. I just had a quick look at the other for a comparison & you have done a great job of improving the image, this is much more "alive".

This is incredible. I can find no points to criticize. I've loved the blown highlights effect, and you've made a wonderful use of it.

I like the realistic facial expression. The look in his eyes is interesting because I am wondering what he is looking at. Is he looking for prey? Good monochromatic effect.

I imagined him to be scanning the horizon, not necessarily for prey, but also not discounting it. Mostly just maintaining a keen awareness of his surroundings.
