My name? Eric den Biesen, a Canadian of Dutch ancestry. I'm 46 years young, though I sometimes feel MUCH older. I generally like to model in trueSpace, though I'm learning Carrara and Hexagon as well. Not much free time for it, so anything I'm building progresses REAL slowly. :( I like to illustrate my tales of the Imperium with Poser and/or Bryce, or that story's prequel, Siren's Song, the story of the Human/Mer first Contact. Neither story is more than outline, and bits are told through the pics I do. And because it's fun, of course. :)

My comments from previous version still apply, and some unfortunate very dark specks have crept into Camilla's skin at the knuckles of the hand and her face. I don't think those are freckles, they look nearly black to me.

My comments from previous version still apply. DO keep up th egood work. DPH

That is definately what I thought they were saying!!!

This is the first time I've seen this image. I like the overall composition of it. I didn't notice the black specs on the knuckles until I saw someone else comment on it and then I looked closer. It's not that noticable IMHO, at least it isn't to me. Easily fixed in post work with a soften or clone tool. The camera angle for the figure on the right is not very flattering to her chest. Her right breast seems to blend in with the background behind her and become almost transparent-like.

Excellent image!

I like it - Busty battle babes! Great posing and scene. Lighting is really good too. I noticed a couple of small things. The first is a slightly strange shadow at Camilla's elbow. The second is the lower leg wrappings that don't look as "real" as all the other clothing textures. Not sure if they need some bump or some monochrome noise in the texture - but they don't look like fabric.

Fantastic scene excellent done.

In the large version, the black spots are obvious and noticable to me. If you use Raytraced Lights or Ambient Occlusion, the reason may be a too low bias. Great picture otherwise.

I think the previous version was better. Regarding my previous comment, it still applies (that the face of the lady on the right looks too soft for this rugged environment and outfit).

I think it's a better image than the first, it's toned down the barbie doll look of Vik nicely but i'd experiment with taking it further and see what happens. Ahhhh thos damn black patches... i thought it was just a P4 thing, bane of my existance. I THINK it has something to do with the way the polys are deformed during morphing, but i've never had a proper explanation as to what causes this. But as Acadia says it can be sorted in PW... pain in the butt though. So yeah, it works betterer now, nice one.

Beautiful work !!!!!!!! Fantastic pose and render!!!!!!BRAVO

I prefer this one. It is a pity about the spots - not noticeable in the smaller image but they are if you look at the full size. But not a couple I would like to cross :)
richard57
very very excellent my friend+5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The brunette's face is clearer and not so shaded looking, and the shadows are crisper looking. I think a lot of the new comments can be solved by maybe rotating the main light source 12 to 25 degrees toward the figures, and raising the right hand arm of the red-head another 5 to 12 degrees to clear the mini-gun. It's definitly a step in the right direction. Great work!
Anniebel
I like this one better, but I wonder why Vicki is looking left, but A3 is looking at the camera, looks a bit odd.

Nicely done - I do love the "badass" girls!

pjz99: I didn't see your comments until I had posted this. Not Final yet. :) I don't know what caused the 'spot' problem, as I never touched Camilla or the lighting. Bloody render engine. :) Acadia:I took a look and see the shadow from Camilla's BFG is falling on that area, and that THAT, coupled with the background is making that odd effect. Maybe I should move Camilla slightly. Anniebel: 'Point at' is the bane of my existance! She shoulda been looking at the camera. SIGH. I'll do it manually. :)

Yup, much better toning on the skin excellent job

Very nice texture work.
centaurus178
you managed it. BOY, did you manage it.

Splendid duo, and very well done composition!!!

lovely image (with great textures and lighting, nice and original use of what looks like stonemason's ministry, and a very strong composition), but i have to disagree with centaurus178. they look more provocative than even vaguely threatening, imho. basically, i'd say same pose, same expressions, and different clothes and setting, and it would be a perfect boudoir scene. basically, they look to me like two pinups looking for a good time rather than two soldiers at the ready. i thought that was what you were going for, but if you want them to look tough, i think you need to work on their body language a bit more. straighter backs, less hip swinging, and with their weight more centered. and their expressions could be less archly "come hither," and more, well, what you said. that isn't to say you should change this look if you like it. several popular comics have gone this route. and it looks absolutely great. aiko's outpacing v4 right now (camilla looks incredible), but i'm sure that will change once you focus on her character. but imho, their poses and demeanor suggest eye candy in costume, not formidable fighters. on the spots on camilla- are you using a version of face_off's shader at all? because the spots can go kinda haywire if you set them really low but don't actually get rid of them.

Brilliant postwork. Fantastic!!!! .....cool;).
