Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us.  Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!Â

This is a wonderful snapshot... And you got it right time can't be changed... We can learn over time and learn from our mistakes in time... But one can't manipulate time or suit it just appease them:) A delightful image... A fav with me:) Love the old man on the bench...wonder if he is setting there contemplating things he would of loved to changed...or just thinking about the future... Whatever...it is a beautiful nostalgic photo Hugs Susan~

Beautiful linking of picture to title to emotional response. And the "Weeping" willows add a somewhat mournful edge to it as well. (Well, I THINK that's a willow and it looks like the branches are drooping -- maybe I'm trying to read too much into this as critics are prone to do.) At any rate, another fantastic piece.

Time heals all wounds, but it can be evil also. Incidentally, did you know there was no such thing as time before the Big Bang? I wonder if I should include my profound philosophical reflections into my uploads like some of you people do. In any event, great POV in this capture.

I got to tell you, until the last few years I would never understand the beauty of this photo... the meaning, the mood. But now that the majority of my life-years are behind me and the shorter number of years lay ahead, seeing something like this tugs gently at my heart and senses. Really clear, lovely photo.

Time can't be changed or manipulated? We do it "all the time". The U.S. Government just recently altered Daylight Savings Time. Photography makes it possible to freeze moments in time, and cinematography makes it possible to relive them over and over again. If time could not be fixed, there'd be no SNOOZE button on my alarm clock! :] Time as we think of it may not actually exist, except as an abstraction. One thing is certain, though: homo sapiens perceives and uses time in our own peculiar fashion. Our understanding and application of the concept of time is one thing which sets us apart from the other inhabitants of our world. Thoughtful, thought-provoking photo and commentary! FIVE STARS

A very strong composition, the textures of the bench and the aged man makes the capture excellent.
