I am no longer active here. Too many restrictions and unpleasant interactions with admin.
In addition I now focus on traditional art, which is very neglected on this site.

About my Art - Watercolor, Poser &Vue I have been painting mainly with transparent watercolor on paper. Most of my paintings depict hypothetical situations and imaginary scenes, striving to capture ideas and moods rather then a resemblance to specific places or people. On many occasions more than one way forward suggest themselves either from the onset or during the painting process. I like to explore these possibilities in different paintings and thus I have several ongoing themes (Some examples of themes I worked on are shown in the image above). I started useing Poser and then Vue mainly to set up virtual models and/or scenes which are then painted in watercolor. The CG images were supposed to be only an intermediate stage, but I now got the CG bug, and I'm trying to make these images a 'product ' on their own accord. Feedback is really very important to me. I appreciate any form of it: comments on the impact the images had on you (or saying it had none), things you enjoyed, things you hated, any artistic aspects - (composition, color, lights & shadows etc.) - any technical comments( eg Poser/Vue issues) and anything else you find relevant. If you dont know a lot (or at all) about Watercolors, Poser or Vue, please dont let it deter you from leaving a comment. Just comment on what you see and what it made you feel or think. You could also ask questions, and if I know how to answer - I will.

wow what a trippy image, I like it. It kinda reminds me of imagery that you would have expected to see in the sixties and seventies. The reflections and the color effects give it that psychadelic, acid trip look. Definately wild and unique I like it. very well done.

These look like a very talented person modeled them using PlayDo. Very unique image :)

Very cool! I really like the face paint job, that's a really interesting effect. I think the only thing working against you is Jessi's too-large dome, but that isn't your fault at all. Really a nifty composition, reminds me a lot of many early 70s science fiction book covers.

Very nice effect. Interesting shadowplay behind her head, the shadows almost seem to have a life of their own. Very nice morph on her face.

Thanks everyone. Some interesting points raised: The trippy/acid look - havent been taken any, I'm too much of a control freak to let go and let the drugs do what they are supposed to do :) . I know some claim being high helps them make better art(or music etc), for me when I'm creating good art, it makes me feel high...(much cheaper supplies too) SoCallRoberta: I havnt thought about it having a playdo look, but do remember mixing up diff. colored sticks as a child. One of my early discoveries of the transient nature of beauty. You mix -> beutifull, you mix more -> ugly grey, and cant be reversed or repeated :( Pjz99: I know what you mean about Jessi;s dome, but it did give me a nice large surface for the painting. Perhaps I should make it even bigger, so then she is definitely strange/alien rather than plain ugly. Rutra: The shadows may think they have a life, but it took me a while to choreograph them so the heads are compositionally connected, not just floating in a vacumm. PS the watercolor took an unexpected turn - I will put it up soon, but I want to make a corresponding Poser image first. I am so sucked in!
