Description
The rhododendron is the Washington State flower, so you'll undoubtedly be seeing more of these from me as the season goes on! I shot this one a couple of weeks ago - it's one of the earlier blooming varieties. In about two or three weeks you won't be able to go anywhere around here without seeing about a million rhodys in bloom. It's quite something.
Get ready! This is only the fanfare!

The rhododendron has been beautifully captured and the lighting that day was just perfect in capturing all the fine parts of each individual aspect of the flower. From another point of view, I would have moved in closer into the flowers and thereby cutting out the background completely, however this does not diminish your efforts here as it reflects the entire flower.
