Description

Rhododendrons and azaleas are truly ubiquitous in this area! This photo was taken in the parking lot at the Black Angus (a steakhouse chain restaurant) in Lynnwood, Washington. The color is less common than the varying shades of pink that everyone seems to have, and this one is actually scented! Generally the scent has been totally bred out of these beautiful hybrids. For those of you keeping track at home, that's ivy in the background, not rhododendron foliage. Of course I love them all, but I think this is one of my favorites.

Superb adante of what appears to be a rhododendron and azalea hybrid. Yeah, like I'm an expert on this stuff. On the fun side, when I squint, it looks like a mass of pasta. Actually, they are really quite demure and lovely in this capture, T!
