About my Art - Watercolor, Poser &Vue I have been painting mainly with transparent watercolor on paper. Most of my paintings depict hypothetical situations and imaginary scenes, striving to capture ideas and moods rather then a resemblance to specific places or people. On many occasions more than one way forward suggest themselves either from the onset or during the painting process. I like to explore these possibilities in different paintings and thus I have several ongoing themes (Some examples of themes I worked on are shown in the image above). I started useing Poser and then Vue mainly to set up virtual models and/or scenes which are then painted in watercolor. The CG images were supposed to be only an intermediate stage, but I now got the CG bug, and I'm trying to make these images a 'product ' on their own accord. Feedback is really very important to me. I appreciate any form of it: comments on the impact the images had on you (or saying it had none), things you enjoyed, things you hated, any artistic aspects - (composition, color, lights & shadows etc.) - any technical comments( eg Poser/Vue issues) and anything else you find relevant. If you dont know a lot (or at all) about Watercolors, Poser or Vue, please dont let it deter you from leaving a comment. Just comment on what you see and what it made you feel or think. You could also ask questions, and if I know how to answer - I will.

I always prefer not to have any previous reference in this case, a Poser version in order to concentrate my attention in this: the final result. As Ive told you before, I dont know too much about watercolor techniques but I found this extremely well done, specially for the color treatment and the brush softness. I really think this is a gemstone, keep it in a safe place!

I have nothing but respect for those able to manipulate the medium of watercolor. I am simply terrible at best with watercolors. This is an amazing bit of work! I really love the soft colors, the wonderful lighting, and the fascinating composition. Great work indeed. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Very beautyfull mix of soft colors. great.

Although I did see the poser render, i did not recognize it in your picture here, the overall colors are very different. The watercolor version looks much better, it has a wonderfull light mood, which the render totally lacks. I like this soft and friendly image very much.

Abslutely love your watercolors. Definately your genre, you master it well.

Wonderful colors, so very delicate.

It has gotten really beautyful! The scene reminds me on the Empress of the Tarot-Cards. Wonderful!!

What a beautiful change of direction from the original render. Most particularly the things you did with the rocks sunk into the ground and the completely different lighting, the background trees, the flowers in the foreground, all very appealing and skillfully-done. Very rich and dreamy :)

Just popped by from reading your thread about using POser for art reference. You work s lovely ! I enjoy the way you've controlled you colours to set the mood for the piece here.

I do have to say that I liked the lighting of the render, but obviously, using watercolors, you weren't going for deep, opaque shadows. I do like the lighter approach you've taken here. It's funny how whimsical the scene appears until you scroll up to the oppressive looking canopy of trees. Don't know if you meant that, but it's an interesting contrast. You did a wonderful job here.

Displaced, but still very much in her element!
