Description

the sun's shining mirror complained to the sky of mother earth's plight blind in one eye and a comet fell from a place very old into the abyss of the ocean's black cold and from the depth the dragon gave birth and shed the shadow that covered the earth and spat out the moon silver, not gold and so was born madness or so I am told Collin

Absolutely beautiful! The water is amazing. If I could paint water like that, I'd never leave the house. Cool concept, very well realized. Great poem, too! Excellent work.

Collin I have my mouth gaping open...this is astounding! And your water, I think you are the master of water and sky. Luna born, and I love the poem as well. And so madness was born of the moon...symbolic and beautiful.

A wonderful painting-poetry work. I love the light reflection on the water. Your painting expresses the sense of the birth of the moon superbly, Collin. Excellent work. Your poem is a painting of words in itself. Also excellent. As a side note: The "madness" once associated with the moon is now theorized more associated with sleep deprivation from the increased light shining. Light disturbs the awake-sleep cycle, causing sleep deprivation in some people. That will make one crazy! LOL Suzanne

What a wonderful idea, I just love that poem. Three weeks ago I was out in the woods with friends and the moon was above us at midnight, we enjoyed that moment very much and I remember just that moment :) Happy days Collin :)

My first mental image was mushroom then jellyfish, then wholly cow, it's a moon rising from the water. Very creative and eye catching work.
