Description

Another photo I took of the rare bizarre cloud formation display over the southeastern portion of Los Angeles County between 12/8/05 and 12/19/05. Thanks for stopping by!

The clouds look like shallow water running over gravel. Let's see . . . invisible rocks in the sky? Pieces of string stretched from skyhook to skyhook across L.A. County? Ummmmmm . . . pancake-thin cloud in very still air with birds flying formation across, leaving little disturbance patterns as they go? I'm an accountant, Jim, not a meteorologist! Thank you for posting this image, my friend! Clearly, you have kept me entertained for quite a while. Nice shot!

This has been a very interesing series. All those different formations in such a short period. I hardly ever look up to catch these things but then, if I did, I'd fall over something for sure. (Like I don't already! LOL)

It reminds me of the ripples that the sand gets on the beach!!!!! 2005? and December that explains the blue & clouds. I always loved when the Santa Ana winds blew away the smog!!! Very cool clouds!!!!!!!!
