Description

This one reminds me of Gotham City. I can almost envision the Batman logo glowing on one of those dark clouds. It was taken just after twilight on a side street near an area once knows as "Hell's Kitchen", which was a bad-ass gang controlled area for decades. Rough neighborhood, to say the least. Of course these days the name "Hells Kitchen" is found mostly on T-Shirts and other tourist items because back in the 90's Mayor Giuliani ran all the bad guys out. But anyway, once a name hits the T-Shirts, whatever it may be, it's already dead or greatly altered from the original concept. Or completely gone. Great capture full of atmosphere and mood. Yes, it's easy to imagine the Batman logo glowing in the sky. Interesting facts - as far as I knew "Hell's Kitchen" is a reality TV show with a pompous ass chef on The Food network.

Mayor Bloomberg had turned out the street lights - there are no longer robbers at "Hell`s Kitchen" and it saves money..... lol Beautiful capture of the old Gotham atmosphere. I like it as the other pics of your NY series.
