Description

As some of you have noted, I've come a long way in Vue since I posted the original of this image over a year ago and a lot of that progress is due to the critiques and comments I've gotten here, for which I thank you. I was looking at my gallery the other day and the original version just smacked me on the forehead and said "Update Me!" which I did. This version uses a filter for the mountain terrain profile. It also has a custom ecosystem for the mountains which I particularly love. The instances are altitude sensitive which makes for great positioning. There are 11 volumetric lights and 10 light panels in this image, along with a number of Poser imports and straight .obj imports. The water is a .vob I purchased over at Cornucopia and works particularly well when you need waves. There is only slight postwork along the shoreline and, of course, the sig tag. Enjoy, everyone, and I look forward to your comments. I know I'm behind with mine but real life has intruded for the time being. I'll get to everyone as soon as I can.

Nice image looks realy good ..the sun light is a bit to bright i think When you use a more dark light the rest of the lights make it have more depth.

This is very well done. The only thing that seems off to me by a hair, is the central building dead on from camera. it seems slightly flat, I'm not sure why that is.

Beautiful composition. It's indeed a great improvement. I agree with comments from BAR-CODE and Tiari. IMHO, I also think the Vue standard "foamy water" texture you used is not realistic (I remember doing the same comment on another picture where you used the same texture). There are other ways of making more realistic foam, like these here: http://paroge.com/vde/tutorial/default.htm

Really like this - the composition is great and the textures on the terrains are excellent.
