Description
Another look at this.
For BAR-CODE (Chris) I darkened the sunlight just a bit and moved it on the azimuth to soften it up.
For Tiari I added a dark backlight to give some relief to the buildings since it's not really a night scene but, rather, a stormy late afternoon.
For Rutra I created a new water mat and gave it a little underpainting to make it seem lighter but not really choppy.
For everyone else who commented, thank you.
For the Critique Group - many, many thanks for the suggestions. This is why I keep getting better.

The water looks much, much better now. Much more realistic. Those greener areas look excellent! The picture overall looks much better now. Well done!

Well, if you want to achieve realism, I think you have a lighting problem here. All objects are not reflecting the same shadow. The relation between lights and shadows works perfectly fine for the pine tree located at the right side. But its not the same with other more predominant objects such as the buildings and the bridge. I suggest you to turn off all lights, then define which will be your main light source and work over that. I dont see any problems with textures; they should look fine with proper lighting. I see another problem with composition but dont want to bother you with a larger comment on this page. You have a nice scene here, theres an initial atmosphere thats well conceived. Just have to work a bit more.

Lovely work!

Very good image. Big hearty hug. Did you use a bump map with the snow texture? Adding one or increasing the value might help.

I don't know anything about Vue, but I like this render! Good work! Hugs! ~Samantha
Tiari
Most excellent! The backlight really really scoped out the buildings to flesh them out and make them seem truly 3d in the scene. Excellent!
