Description

Okay, so this is about the umpteemth update of my drum kit. Now I've said that I've got future commitments which are gonna curtail the project, but until they become an issue I'm gonna carry on and try and get the thing finished - it's taken long enough, that's for sure. I've changed the hardware considerably in the update, the ride cymbal is no longer on a floorstanding mount, instead is attached to the floor toms. I've added a few extra stands and cymbals just to make the kit more versatile. That's it really, see what you think :D.

just a thought from a (not so good) drummer..;) Model's fantastic, thought if you can position them, I've often seen sets with the drum heads as a surface of an imaginary sphere, the heads being a sort of crescent at the end of drumstick range..;) A little tilt here and there to reflect this will give it more of a 'played' look. Look at some pics of drummers in action, and you'll see it. Wish I could do half as well with the modeling, tho..;)

As with the cymbals, the drums themselves still need to be positioned - I'm gonna wait until all the modelling is sorted first, because it's just easier to model everything while it's still horizontal and flat etc :).

Mate, I remember you commenting on my snaredrum and it's really good to see you work. Looks awesome! I used to own a stage custom and I loved it to bits. Only comment I can make is maybe try and show the grooves on the cymbals. However I appreciate it's a WIP so, keep it up. Can't wait to see your finished piece. NICE! 5*
