Description

And yet another revision ... LOL! This is actually starting to take shape. I did some retexturing of the cliffs at svdl's suggestion and got the waterfall looking like I want it. Next up, unless there are more suggestions about the texture and ecosystem distribution, will be the water and an alteration in the atmosphere.

The dry texturing on the higher parts of the cliff is better indeed. Maybe one last suggestion: close to the waterfall itself the higher rock would also be wet. I wouldn't know how to drive a texture by object proximity, however. "Distance to object below" won't do the trick. Nothing wrong with the ecosystem IMO. Looks good to me. I like the development of this piece, and I think the finished work will be stunning. Well done!

Now, this is a huge leap forward from the first version. Still not sure about those shadows, though.

Oh, this is really shaping up. I love the way you captured air with that waterfall. The rock texture is very good as well.

You might need to post-work some wetness into the rocks adjascent to the waterfall. Add some life to the place. Even if gulls in the air, or crabs and sea-shells--they're freebies on the web I got and I'm sure that life in the shadows will haunt the subconscious viewer's mind with, "It's a photo- It's a photo!" So far, it's a rock-solid base for something to happen. It's good and vibrant looking, but you can push it far further! GO, GO! Push, PUSH!! LOLOL
