Description

Another shot of my buddy, Buddy, captured 8/15/06, this time voicing his displeasure over being held captive in my neighbor's patio. More details on the odyssey of this little doggie can be found in my Buddy the Beagle #1 posting. Super sorry about the blurred head. At the time I thought I had taken the perfect photo of a howling hound, but when I later saw it on my computer monitor I was chagrined, to say the least. Aiming through the camera LCD screen, I had no idea that he had swerved his head during the photo capture. This was a rare opportunity to shoot the howling pose because it was not easy to catch...usually when he heard someone approaching he would cease this activity and just plop to the ground and pout. To paraphrase Forrest Gump, "Momma says photography is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're going to get." Have a super work week!

I like this shot... :-) I have a true affection for hounds. Buddy is my kind of dog - one with personality. Self-centered and pitiful... You captured the entire range of character in this dog thanks to the blur I think. You did good. :-)

A head in motion but not a body, so it is goes under artistic photography and not in a blurry section. You caught a great angle I like his open mouth singing. I have 2 poodles every time they hear an ambulance siren they start to howling, I live next to the hospital btw.

You might want to sing a little tune with him to get him started again. I can imagine this beautiful dog singing. Super shot. Aloha

I'm okay with the blurred head. It shows the motion that accompanies the singing. He's such a cutie - I like this a lot!

Cool shot of the howl'n dawg. I think the blur adds personality, a very static shot could be boring. Nice work ol boy!!

Hah, if you call that singing, I wonder how he would sound if he was really hurting, like stepping on his paw or tail.
