Description

"Out of damp and gloomy days, out of solitude, out of loveless words directed at us, conclusions grow up in us like fungus: one morning they are there, we know not how, and they gaze upon us, morose and gray. Woe to the thinker who is not the gardener but only the soil of the plants that grow in him." ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

From a the bark of a palm tree in my front yard, a profusion of life. I was debating whether or not to post it, but finally figured what the heck. I kept it small so no need to click on it for an enlargement. ;'] ------

Signs of the humid atmosphere there in Miami, I would have never picked this as palm bark, more like an ancient tree in the depths of the swamp ! Way kool capture Kort ! ~Cheers~ :o)

Great crop you picked for this. I have never really looked at fungus, to be honest. There is underappreciated beauty there...Thanx for sharing and love the quote. -M :^)

If this was red, and not green, it could easily be mistaken for the heartbreak of psoriasis...a rash statement, I admit. That said, fine lighting and sharp textural effects in this capture of nature gone fungi.
