Description

"If it's sent by ship then it's a cargo, if it's sent by road then it's a shipment." ~ Dave Allen

Another photo from the Port of Miami. Here we can see some of the giant cargo cranes in action, with the two new ones (11 & 12) from my previous post in the background. It is amazing the ammount of industry going on in a place like this. I left the image large because there are a lot of interesting details to be seen, so please give it a click! ------

I thought it was a Rubic's Cube :) Excellent and interesting photo. It amazes me how much tonnage the barge can carry. Fascinating look at the loading docks.

The name almost seems backwards (cargo-shipment). Its amazing how these containers stay put during sea travel. Interesting shot. Aloha

Great shot!! Physics has never been my strong point, I don't know how something that big does not sink!

fabulous! I love this colorful shot of the port. I wish it was bigger because there are still details that allude me. All that going on and I see no humans - I would think they would be swarming like ants all over getting things loaded. I'd love to be the one to sit in that control room (I assume that's what it is) at the top and watch the activity! As I mentioned earlier (I do go on, don't I?) a fabulous shot.

It amazes me how small those containers look, but knowing how large they are really gives an idea to ship size. Brilliant shot.

I enjoyed seeing these monsters come into the Houston ship channel loaded several stories high with containers allowing limited sight to navigate the seas. the car carriers was something else to see carrying around 12,000 cars on one ship. they would work 24 hrs a day and still take a week to unload.stunning clarity

A definite myriad of erector set objects in your port. The cargo ships look massive. Good POV, colors, and textures in this capture.
