Description

Another rose from Wight's Nursery in Lynnwood, Washington. This one made me think of a 30-year-old woman, in a sheath and a chignon, presiding over a Junior League tea. There's something a little old-fashioned and East Coast about this. It reminds me of my grandmother. (Quite truthfully, she was a bit of a snob!) I seem to have quite a few roses ready to post. Maybe I'll just put up a whole bunch in a row. Let me know if it gets to be too much! They're like a rich dessert. At some point you just have to stop!

This lady was a debutante years ago, and has since been around the ballroom quite often! The colouring on the outer petals, suggesting age, is lovely, and there is certainly a richness and a heritage showing here........ What a gorgeous dowager this is!

The subtle background add a nice touch to this beautiful delicate flower. Excellent!

You picked a real winner of a rose to shoot. The broad low cup is elegant as are the delicate blushed petals. The clarity is marvelous and the dark background helps to pop this rose out nicely. Really outstanding.

Yep yep, more rose shot...great idea. This is a realy charmed rose with its pastel color and a touch of green on the edges so lovely. Nice work on a background too.
