Description

I dedicate this to Kipweb as he offered me advice about a Sigma telephoto lens and this is one of many captures already.I never got a good shot of a large bird and without the lens, I would still not have one. I am not using a tripod or monopod, but I did brace myself against a bridge railing. thanks so much for your many comments and visits

Oh fabulous shot! I saw something similar up here in the western part of NY state, think it was called a night heron, or maybe even a green heron!

Stunning capture of this long legged bird. I sure ain't never seen no heron that looks like that before. Can't tell where the legs end and the branches begin.
