Description
An "inside looking out" view from the ground floor of Fort Morgan, Alabama. In another time, men have stood in this same spot anxiously holding their rifles while peering out the window as the outer barrier wall was being scaled by approaching enemy forces. And then the deafening roar of their own rifles would sing in defense of their positions.
Fort Morgan is located on the eastern side of the mouth of Mobile bay. Some more information on the fort can be found on my 1st post, Return to Fort Morgan.
For a darker interior view of the fort check out my second post, Fort Morgan #2.
I highly recommend a visit to the old fort should you ever find yourself on the Gulf Coast. It's not a big tourist attraction, so you'll find few people, if any, there. Thanks for stopping by!

Excellent shot, showing the wonderful texture of the brick and mortar, contrasting nicely with the lush grass outside. Superb photo.
