Description

Yet another challange from a co-worker. Several of the people at work play World of Warcraft, and were trying to get me to play (good looking game, but not really my cup of tea... I'm more of a Unreal Tournament, Half Life 2, Gears of war type of guy). One of them told me I should try and draw their character, who is an elf spellcaster, but she didn't want an exact representation of her. So off to the sketch book I went... pity I was listening to a steady diet of the Misfits, Lords of the New Church, and Killing Joke that week, so she kind of had several different "creative" hair styles before I just said the heck with it and she got a mohawk. Drawn on Beinfang 90lb acid free paper and rendered with Prismacolor Design Markers and gold ink (the scanner didn't really do the gold ink justice, but at least it didn't totally butcher it). Thanks for stopping by and having a look. Comments and crits are welcome as always. Have a great weekend everyone.

Nothing wrong with Killing Joke for inspiration. I'm listening to Asteroid as I type this. Grand piece, matey. I know the colours are very nice and all that but what nobody seems to have mentioned yet is your line work. Very nice and clean with good use of line weights.

Hon', I wish I could paint like you can! This is so amazing.... I still wonder how someone knows where to put the next line without destroying the whole composition..... I want to learn that, too! pouting like mad This looks marvelous, I love the colors and when I imagine that there is originally gold where we see brown color right now, I can't get rid of the feeling that this is a real masterpiece. Btw, thanks a bunch for your wonderful comment on my latest image! And the nightscene is already finished, too :o) Take care, ~Sassy~
