Description

[best viewed full sized] I didn't know that horses could have blue eyes until a couple of weeks ago. The Paint Horse (Painted Horse, aka Gypsy Horse) are believed by the Romanian Gypsy people to bring good luck. This horse had a feature called "Wall Eyes" where one eye is blue, and the other is brown. Picture taken at Whitby, North Yorkshire coast, two weeks ago. A slight gaussian blur and very slight lighting effect added to place emphasis on the eye. No colour tweaking though! "The beauty of this horse (Painted Horse) is surpassed only by their gentle and intelligent nature making them highly sought after, even outside of the Romany Culture". Thanks for looking!

Carl, this is a brilliantly composed capture. I love the tight crop allowing us to see exactly what it was that you saw - that beautiful blue eye! And what wonderfully long eyelashes he/she has too!! Your postwork is flawless and undetectable, which is of course the best sort of postwork! A great capture my friend. Hugs. xx

LOL I'm catching up on commenting right now, myself. Wonderful capture, here. I particularly like the crop. So unusual to see a horse with such light blue eyes. Great one, Carl.
