Description

[best viewed full size] This shot was taken at Horseshoe Falls in Llangollen last weekend whilst on a shooting trip with Chrissy BibbyBear in North Wales. I've been having some Photoshop problems this week which is why I havn't uploaded recently. The admission: Ok, the sky is not real. Despite the very strong sunlight there was a light cloud cover when I took this shot so the sky was white (not blown out by camera). This looked pretty naff, so I created the sky from colours within the water in the foreground, but because there are whites in the water part of the sky had to be white too, otherwise it would have looked completely unatural. No.... don't visit my gallery because you see Carl, I had this shot in my folder and couldn't get the sky to look right but unlike you my dear friend, I gave up on trying days ago LOL!!! I commend you for your perseverance and it certainly has paid off. This is a true representation of the gorgeous mirror-like water at Horseshoe Falls and the lovely greens of the grass and trees. A beautiful reminder of a very memorable day - thank you. XXOxOXX

Oh yes - I know that sky well! The sky here is white (not blown out!) most of the time, so I've had to learn that same trick. It really is impossible to get a shot of a blue sky when the sky has no blue in it to begin with. Nice save! The water is just gorgeous - looks like silk. Beautiful shot!

Sorry Carl playing catchup, its a great shot with very effective reflections, wish I could send you some of these mossies lol. Decided on a Canon EOS-1D Mark III Body Only, 'er indoors is gonna treat me lol
