Description

This is apparently a man-eating plant of some sort. See the little feet and legs sticking out the bottom? I think there must be at least two of 'em up in there! This is one of the many wonderful and mysterious plants in Ann's garden.

Of course you don't know what they're doing in there, do you? Perhaps it's best not to investigate. :-)

This is a very nice shot of Phygelius. I have one, but each drooping head is quite small, and I've had the worst time trying to get a decent shot! After seeing this lovely and entertaining view, I now officially give up! By the way, it only eats very little men!

Phygelius? Sounds like a character in a story about ancient Rome...perhaps a close confidant of Julius Caesar. Wonderfully detailed capture of this strange trumpet shaped plant, which appears absolutely voracious in its consumption of little men. Is this what we'll encounter when we first set foot on a distant planet, in a galaxy, far, far, away?
