Description

FE & PS Ahhhhhh, a full 3 days off from work... Life IS good! *huge grin* This is an old FE with a little texture added in PS. I've held onto it for a very, very long time...but I've always thought there to be something oddly mystical and quite powerful about it. Of course, since I collect stones and am very familiar with the energy and properties of each, amethyst has always been one of my favs. Metaphysically, it is one of the most powerful of all. Amethyst is quite literally unable to possess any kind of negative or harmful energy..and actually wards off negativity. It is thought to elevate the energy of any area in which it is placed. It is a stone of healing, balance, peace, and spirituality. Years ago, I used to hike to an area in the heart of Appalachian Trail country after a good hard afternoon rain...plop down into the claylike mud...and spend hours digging into the side of a hill where these were plentiful. Once, I even stepped on one (can you say major stone bruise? lol), not realizing what it was at first, until I saw a slight sparkle as the sun hit it. When I finally managed to completely dig it up, it turned out to literally be the size of my fist. So from me, to you...one small image, but a very large and loving offering....healing, protection, and all things positive and good :) And, again, my heartfelt thanks for your thoughtful and thought-provoking comments on the previous image. Never do you cease to amaze me and make my heart lighter :) Thoughts and hugs, Nancy~*

Beautiful image Nancy. I too enjoy your love of amethyiste. LOL its not my birthstone but many people think i am a February baby just because i wear amethyste instead of my own birthstone.

This is a wonderful creation. My husband is a Feb. baby, so his this is his stone. This actually looks like the moth I shot yesterday. Very similar designs. I also believe in the healing power of these different stones etc. Aloha

This wonderful image does depict one of my favorite stones (although I tend to be an obsidian freak ;) and timely. A conversation about this wonderful stone came up last night, and your wonderful write up is just what the doctor ordered. Thank you Nancy, you come through at amazing times. This image actually feels like a matrix of healing. Hugs:)

No, why don't we get a supply of amethyst at birth from our respective governments? The world would be so much better then, wouldn't it? Beautiful picture.

WOW! I expected a story of how this amazing mask protects the wearer from all negative energy. Maybe found in an ancient monastery high in the Andes somewhere. It is quite beautiful. I've always been drawn to Amethyst. I also collect stones from everywhere.
