FE & PS
Ahhhhhh, a full 3 days off from work... Life IS good! *huge grin*
This is an old FE with a little texture added in PS. I've held onto it for a very, very long time...but I've always thought there to be something oddly mystical and quite powerful about it. Of course, since I collect stones and am very familiar with the energy and properties of each, amethyst has always been one of my favs. Metaphysically, it is one of the most powerful of all. Amethyst is quite literally unable to possess any kind of negative or harmful energy..and actually wards off negativity. It is thought to elevate the energy of any area in which it is placed. It is a stone of healing, balance, peace, and spirituality. Years ago, I used to hike to an area in the heart of Appalachian Trail country after a good hard afternoon rain...plop down into the claylike mud...and spend hours digging into the side of a hill where these were plentiful. Once, I even stepped on one (can you say major stone bruise? lol), not realizing what it was at first, until I saw a slight sparkle as the sun hit it. When I finally managed to completely dig it up, it turned out to literally be the size of my fist. So from me, to you...one small image, but a very large and loving offering....healing, protection, and all things positive and good :)
And, again, my heartfelt thanks for your thoughtful and thought-provoking comments on the previous image. Never do you cease to amaze me and make my heart lighter :)
Thoughts and hugs,
Nancy~*

Very beautiful and spiritual piece of art, Nancy. Looks like real amethyst "druza" in the middle. Excellent work!!!

This is a very beautiful work. I have wandered by it several times, trying to figure out just what it was I liked. I'm not entirely sure, but my intitial reaction was that it reminded me of Egyptian jewelry. Strange. I still haven't figured out why I like it so much, but I really do. The lovely colors probably help with that.
