Description

Nikon 7900 image. Four days ago, I posted a collection of 4 images showing a variety of insect egg cases (some known and some unknown). Todays posting shows the newly hatched nymphs that emerged from the eggs shown in the bottom photo of that collage. I was able to identify the nymphs as members of the Stink Bug family but was unable to narrow that down to a specific species. Although the nymphs greatly resemble those of the Harlequin Bug, the egg cases were distinctly different, so I will have to do more research or hope someone can help in a better identification. Thanks to those who take the time to comment. Lee

Awesome macro, I am looking beyond the bugs and at the leaf structure. The bugs are fantastic but the detail in the leaf itself, is awesome. It looks like it is made up of crystal upon crystal. Awesome!!!!!

I love revisiting older shots for updates. It's like a visit with an old friend. The field journal entries always inform. Thanks.
