Description
This is dedicated to a superb artist and a dear friend Sara ( Saretta ) who always brings a smile to my face with her warm and funny comments. I noticed Sara liked my Float Trip image so much because it was a real story from my past, that is why I did this one for her since it is another such story.
Close The Gate:
One favorite memory for my sister & I both is when we were really young and once more it involves our grandparents farm. My Grandfather had mostly cattle but did have a small pen filled with pigs. When the Mother pig had piglets my sister & I begged our Grandfather to let us have one to play with. He told us no and warned us it was dangerous to try to seperate a Mother pig ( Sow ) from her piglets. Of course the temptation was too great & the piglets too cute so we had to go for one. Carefully slipping in my sister manned the gate as I slipped around and scooped up a baby. All at once all hell broke loose as the baby pig screamed for his Mom & next thing you know here she came after me. What I remember most about this was my sister screaming ( Hurry up the Momma's right behind you ) as I yelled back to my sis ( I know, just close the gate the moment I get through). It did have a happy ending in that I got out in one piece, the only bad news was once again when Grandfather got home and saw us playing with a scared piglet we were in trouble once more. Thanks for listening, hope you got a laugh or a smile that is what matters most to me. Take care,
Dave

Oh what a great image and wonderful memory...I got one too involving pigs...my uncle lived on a big farm in London, KY...and once as a children, my sister, my uncle's daughter and myself decided we needed to go out to the outhouse, which just happened to be in the pig sty...we were told to close the gate behind us...I was the last one through...as we were coming out we noticed one of us hadn't closed the gate, that someone was me...along with us, my uncle and my dad were chasing pigs around the barn yard...I dived for one's hind feet and landed right in manure, face down...yukkkkkkkk, needless to say Dad and Uncle Nelse were no longer upset with me, they were laughing too hard to even think about spanking me....thanks for the memory hun...
