Description
this image was, rightly, refused as a september theme image in the 2d forum 'frontiers, borders and boundaries' as it was made in sketchup with some tweaks in photofiltre, but it was what came to mind.
the people who live at the edge of society, the homeless, the drunk, the junkies, the people who don't fit in. i tried to rework it as a 2d image, but that did not work imo - the neat bricks with the even colours without blemish represent mainstream society with a dissonant the empty bottle and cork, left behind by someone left behind.

Now, I'm going to start feeling sad about solitary bottles. ;( Seriously, the implications of your image are dire and very sad. Well done, Koosie. Hugs, Suzanne

A homeless bottle - how sad! A great idea. Well done!

Koosies, like it a lot. About the concept. May sdhare or share not your idea, depending on lots of things. Like, not sure if you are 100% alone with a bottle. At least you can speak to it, play lots of games, throw away/out etc. If you have a cork, its value increases.... If seriously, what attracts me first is the compo and the dark glass against the bright background color.

The stark contrast and very simplicity of this image drives home your theme in a way that few images, addressing this theme, do. It addresses the borderline existence, as well as the consequences of addiction for the person, friends and family. Amazing that you accomplished such a complex task quietly and profoundly. Brilliant.

I am afraid it wasnt 'rightly refused' Mr. van Tutte! Looking around in the 2D galleries I find that 97,67% would have the same trouble. Will say, creating an 2D image with external sources like stockware or 3d does or an electronci brush always enenhances the 'artists' true capabilities! Nobody should ask for the tools used in an age of electronic manipulation :) It is one thing to wipe around with an artrage brush, but much much different to use a real brush! Try to print this in 3D, you will see, its flat :) Sorry for being so stoic :( But I think the 2D gallery should be not that serious with such things instead of looking at the idea of an image, could be fun! Have a good one Kooosie!
