Description

this image is for the september 2d theme: 'Frontiers, Borders and Boundaries' it is a piece of cardboard from which you can cut your fence and it is meant for children. as it is an educational toy, it needs some explanation: about fences: they exist from very long ago, they provide safety and mark our 'property' there are high fences and low fences. some people own more fences than others, some even unproportionally big ones. this model has not sufficient parts to make a full fence, but one could always beg or borrow from others (telling one could steal it would not be very educational and it is meant for children after all)or even buy some. in this day and age you could copy them without caring about the copytight of course, but we don't want to teach the children that kind of thing, do we? you could also use it for graffiti, come to think of it and for announcements and don't forget the 'keep out' sign.

Does the gate open, and does the copyright allow me to paint the fence in a color of my choosing or is this considered a derivative work?

the gate opens if you cut through the lock and painting fences is not an offence, as long as it is your own fence and it is not graffiti, but who cares?

If I had a dog, such a fence would be wonderful. Then I could just open my door and let the dog out, the days my back don't want a walk. Luckily I have a cat that creep under the fence of my neighbors and disappeaer to a place I just cannot guess. How could I creep after him? This is a great and funny idea for the theme Koosie.

LOL! This is so funny. Great fence and gate, but the comment is priceless. Fantastic total package and a great contribution to the 2D Forum monthly theme. I think we are already having fun with this one. This looks familiar. Hmmm! The wall and gate we have around our courtyard. Did you Google Earth my house, Koosie? Our wall is copyrighted, an original creation by my husband. Hugs, Suzanne :)))))

I've got to tell you Koosie, here we have what is called "gated communities" the whole concept drives me bonkers, and your description of you work, led me down the path of that rant! As always, your images and work provoke thought, a much needed commodity! :)

Good fences make good neighbors (R.Frost). Guess yours is the most practical work in the years I've been with RR.

A very nice fence too, my wife has just treated our fence with prservative. A very useful item is a fence, this is not a fence that accepts stolen items though is it? Thought provoking concept. Bravo!!!!!
