Description
This is a shot of me, trudging up the last bit to the top of Mt St Helens. After scrambling over the rocks for hours, the final ascent is on this loose gravel and pumice, and it really is a case of taking a step forward and sliding half a step back. I was pretty well exhausted by the time I got to the top.

This is amazing! It looks as though if you were to fall backwards you'd land in a pile of clouds! What a cushy fall right ...... I'm about of breath just watching you .....wonderful wonderful shot.

congratulations on the Climb and excellent photo. you have captured the level of difficulty and an awesome view. forgive me for not knowing what the Mountain is in the distance but it looks beautiful. thanks for sharing this.

That loose gravel can sure add to the difficulty of climbing this mountain. Such an amazing and beautiful view of that mountain behind you. My hats off to you and your hiking crew. Excellent job. Aloha

You wore shorts while climbing on those big nasty rocks and this scree ...you are a brave man indeed. I think I would want my knees covered for greater protection. You certainly had a fantastic view behind you. WOW!
