Well, here is my 1,000th gallery image an also an entry for the September Challenge Arena "Transitions" challenge. Click HERE to visit the forum and hopefully enter your own image. Since I've been doing so much infrared photography of late, I though that this would be an appropriate photo for my thousandth image. It is actually two photos combined into one. On the right the camera is a photo in the visible spectrum and on the left is an infrared image. I'd like to try more of these but there are problems when doing something like this with an unconverted camera. The infrared exposure last several seconds so motion can be introduced and things do not match up quite perfectly. Ah well, something to work on. A tripod is a must of course. Thanks to all of you who have commented on my work since I became a member here back in January 2000. You all keep me coming back and I have made many good friends here and been inspired by all of you. Seven plus years -- not a bad run, eh? ------

Congradulations on 1000. It certainly is some accomplishment. I feel that maybe a tutorial is about to come up regarding IR and the conversions? It look like it by this example. Thank you for sharing. egmont

It's just beautiful and YES it does makes sense to combine them. Reminds me of the second half of Wizard of Oz! Congrats and I hope you know you can certainly choose to be stuck with us for another 7 or more!

A thousand fronds? Is that anything like George H Bush's A Thousand Points of Light? Great composition incorporating two separate genres of photography, my friend. I thought I was entering two dimensions when I first saw this creation. Schizo or doppelganger stuff. Ennyweigh, super congratulations on your one thousandth posting on Renderosity. That's seven years of experimentation, research (in finding quotes, that is) toil and laughs.
