Description

"Beauty is a manifestation of secret natural laws, which otherwise would have been hidden from us forever." ~ Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

Here is another infrared photograph from my visit to the Bok Tower Sanctuary. I am sure some of you are wondering when I am going to post a photo of the tower. In due time, heheheh. Anyway, this is a special observatory known as "Window By The Pond." It's situated at the edge of a hidden pond, and this view is from a small wooden building that shields the observers from the wildlife. This natural habitat is home to all manner of reptiles, fish, birds and insects and we saw quite a few. I am not sure why there are none to be had in this capture, but considering this was shot through hazy glass, I think it turned out all right. There was a heron fishing just outside the frame on the right and a cardinal and squirrel were playing tag in the trees off to the left. ------

Thank you so much for your generous comments on my previous upload, thumb_1515032.jpg One Thousand Fronds I really appreciate the heartfelt comments you left. It makes me very glad to be a part of this community. (( by the way, the fast food seen in my Food Genre Challenge entry was plastic. Sorry. ;'] )) ----- Sony DSC-P200 (IR Converted) & PhotoshopCS. A fascinating view! At first glance I thought you'd captured a frosty, moonlight, winters scene! The IR certainly gives it another dimension.

Oh wow!!! This IR is really beautiful! If it was inoriginal colours I'd say it reminds me of a lily-pond I've seen in the local park here, but now it reminds me of a frozen pond!!! It's really cool!!!

If you get a whim, I'd love to see the half and half treatment on this - color on the water/lilies and sky; IR on the foliage. :) This is gorgeous as is, of course!

Well, this certainly is a preview of what's to come in the months ahead, LOL! It does look very wintery, except there are leaves still on the trees, so perhaps an early frost! I love these IR photos!
