Description

Infrared photo with my Sony P200. The internal cut filter was removed, and a B+W 92 filter attached via an external thread mount. This allows me to take handheld infrared photos with a false color scheme (as opposed to black and white). Once downloaded from the camera, the red and blue channels were swapped in Photoshop to give the sky it's blue color (as opposed to red). Levels and saturation were adjusted, the photo was resized and sharpened and viola -- the final image. ------

Looks like something out of a fairy tale, with the white leaves and the blue and white clouds. Of all the infra-red images you've done, this is undoubtedly my fave.

This IR photography of yours is starting to grow on me. interesting composition. I didn't know you could switch channels to create different colors....I still have a ton to learn about Photoshop.

This really inspires me to experiment with IR again after over 30 years lol :) At that time was only E-6 IR film, which ironically, is still available primarily via "Science and Health Photographic Supplies". Great work Kort!

Kort, this is stuff of fine quality. I am so glad you explained the process. Who knows, one of the mods might think it LWITG quality....lol. It certainly is with tonality of a superb nature and surreal in compo and final eye appeal.
