Description

Sigh...and yet another case where I had several crops and I couldn't decide which way to go. But I thought I'd better upload this because I'm almost at that point where I'll trash it, if it look at it any longer, lol. Anyway, this is Paige, once again, and me still learning how to use my new lens and flash. As always, your comments and/or opinions are most appreciated. Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend and thanks for dropping in. See yazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Marlene :^) Mika: thumb_1519101.jpg"A Dear in the Headlights"

I am guessing the aperature was wide open to get this cool selective focus on the eyes- fantastic glamour style shot, but no fair that you get to have such a beautiful model in the family!! Is this shot taken with your new 50mm?

I am going back and forth between to say what is on my mind or not. What has bothered me the most is the make-up to simulate a mask. What I do like are the very fine toouches of gold make-up that resembles a pearl. I also like the neckless that is so out of focus adding to the qulity of the photo. In regards to the lip, I find the squishing due to the lipstick takes away from the slendor of those beautiful lips. Here is a fashion trick, get yourself some white foam core and score it down the longest side so that it can be angled but not separated. This is useful for a fill card from the side to bounce the flash off of from. also get yourself another foamcore that is cut to about 20x24 and placed under the chin to bounce light back and making the neck appear nice an long, softening or even taking away any shadow. Thank you for sharing. egmont

I'm with Egmont : I don't like the heavy eye make-up, but the way the necklace is coming out is really fabulous ! I really think that with Paige you will succeed in almost any portrait... therefore it is great that you continue to experiment ! Thank you, dear Marlene a010.gif Enjoy your week-end !

You could have cropped this any way you want and it will still look fantasric. Now Marlene, I think you need to teach your daughter how to put on eye liner...lol.. great work 8^)

Well, I sincerely hope all that stuff is just painted on, especially that gold thing over her lips, because I know behind all that makeup lies the face of a lovely innocent young lady. Actually, I love the eye makeup, including the bandit mask, and the light lip gloss. Probably learned all that stuff from her transgender friends. Anyway, superb skin tones, clarity, eye reflectivity, and lighting effects in this marvelous portrait, Marlene.

The 'Monroe' piercing, alas, is real...As far as her transgender friends...none are actually trans'gender'...They just enjoy being, let's say, non-gender specific... ( I needed to say that, as they feel rather strongly about it. ) -M :^)

Well now lets see what you've done here....First off you can't go wrong shooting Paige, no matter what make up of masking you do she's always gorgeous. I do like the dramatic makeup, really adds an air of sexiness to the shot...gorgeous full lips and that come hither eyes...The lighting works well for me as it really does give it a nice sensual feel....Keep playing with your new toys, it does take awhile to get use to that flash...but over all a fine shot!! Keep it up Marlene, your on the right road...now go crazy!! A splendid weekend to you~ Aloha~

You are so lucky to have a stunningly beautiful and willing model! The apple doesn't fall far, I'll bet. :-) Looks like the lens and flash are just wonderful to you. What kind did you get? Super shot, again.
