Description

You are so nice with me, you encourage me so much today I take you to visit one of the most fabulous places I the world! The heart of Lhassa, the Tibet and - for the Tibetans- the hearth of the world! Around Jhokang, the most important temple of Tibet, there is Bhakor, the traditional district. It´s an important place of pilgrimage. Many people dream all the life to came here. Many arrives walking, from the distant villages, others with knees. It is necessary to make the turn of Jhokang several times, prayng, in the sense of aiguille watch. The mood of faith incredible. All deep Tibet cross in front of you, people of all the areas of the country, with their typical cloths. Many of these people came to Lhassa for the first time in your life. For the photographers, tell : we turn in contrary sense of the other people. If not, we take only photos of back the people. back. I make this in many holy places. Is irregular, I require always autorisation. To who? To Boudah himself! He protect the photographers. I am the proof : - ) . You have nothing to do. Stay here, in front of the place and look around. All Tibet passed in front of you. Just open your eyes and hearts… UM AGRADECIMENTO E UMA HOMENAGEM ESPECIAL AO FLAVIO, AMIGO QUERIDO E PRINCIPAL INCENTIVADOR, JUNTO COM A MARCIA. SEM ELES EU NÃO ESTARIA AQUI... A SPECIAL THANKS AND TRIBUTE TO FLAVIO, DEAR FRIEND AND MAIN SUPORT, TOGETHER WITH MARCIA. WITHOUT THEM I WOULD NOT BE HERE…

the masses of humanity around these temples takes a westerner some getting used to. very nice shot, I like the antique style coloring wheather that is the camera or post or scanning it adds to the richness of the image.
