Description

[best viewed full sized] Shot taken from Flint, North Wales looking out across the river Dee towards the Wirral. (Not the natural phenomenon also known as St. Elmo's Fire, apart from the blue sky resemblance, I just can't get my imagination to kick in). Postwork included layer masks, slight adjustment of levels and curves, a little dodge and burn to bring out the cloud textures, and slight sharpening of the distant lights. I'm still not around in the galleries very much, but I'm working on it! Thanks for looking, and any comments and critique are more than welcome!

Well I absolutely love it babe!! The colours there were phonomenal and you certainly brought the best out of it with your camera. I also love the title, but then you know how much that song means to me too!! I particularly love the blues high in the sky showing the last fading light that was there - not the sunset we'd hoped to get but a magnificent capture and one well worth the visit. A nice subtle amount of postwork to emphasise the textures in the clouds - you've done brilliantly. Excellent work Carl. Hugs xox

This is beautiful, even if I don't even pretend to know what dodge and burn are! Layer masks? DUH! However, I do know all about curves. (Got plenty! lol)
