Description

Hello all!! Well got my computer fixed - they thought at first that the hard drive was toast but a nice computer guy managed to salvage it after hours of work... ( thanks Greg!!!...) yeaaa! SO putting up a collage from a drive thru Northern Indiana Amish country taken in late July... I liked the big puffy clouds and old world feel of this rural very Amish Farmer/buggy ridden town called Shippshawana... - So all pics here taken from the car with a pocket cam *and most through a dirty window-LOL~!!... on top of that it seemed near impossible to shoot from the car window as I REALLY didnt want to offend any Amish folks- found out you have to be VERY careful when taking pictures of these people locked in another time- they get offended so you have to sneak shots if any!! so a little glimpse of this world here... Got company comming tonight here and another b-day party here so have to run - ... *please view at full size as the pics have already been very reduced to fit in collage - thanks... Thanks for all your time and comments ! Love to all! ((( BIG hugs ))) ~ Kimarie ♥ :O)

Lovely colors, clarity and variety in this great collage of when time stood still. Glad you got away before the inhabitants came upon you with pitchforks and flaming torches. They may believe that in taking their photos that not only have you invaded their territory but that you have also stolen their souls.

I really have to admire the Amish. Not only are they such a kind, positive people, they swim against the tide pop culture of public opinion. Your collage here gives a real feeling of the place. Wonderful project.

Most days I think I would gladly live that life ... but without the religious nonsense of course. LOL Beautiful collection of photos ... there's something about the trampoline that gets to me. Thanks for posting this Kimmers. Up to your usual high standards.

Hi Kimmers, I think you did a marvellous job with your stealthily taken pictures. Lovely scenery and as you say, people living in another time, another world. :-) Great job!

It is a marvelous collage and glimpse into their unique world. I have a hickory rocking chair made by the Amish and it is my favorite piece of furniture. CC
