Description

Ultrafractal 4.02 -- Photoshop 7 (to sharpen UF texture) A little break from the geofractal "cubish" stuff. This'n here is one that was a further build of this one - http://excalibur.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1203852 - that I'd posted elsewhere but 4got to put over here. I was all jazzed making the big, funky looking "leaves" and had come up with a couple more and a different overall color scheme for the piece. I recently added a different texture than the lined Thingies stock one on the "bird" (bird??? freaken fractallists! We sure do make some imaginative stretches to liken our shapes to "real" things! lol) in the "Macaw" image. You can do some neat things to UF textures by exporting them unrendered and sharpening them b4 overlaying them onto the rendered fractal if you have PSP or PS. Helpful, as well, to get an idea how they might look printed on watercolor or other textured media like canvas. And...great googly-moogly! Is that a SPHERE??? (Please don't tell the monks over at the Halls of Purity - they think I'm "cured" - lol) BTW - when I called it a "piece" - I haven't all of a sudden gotten all huffy-puffy. I just had the thought that calling them "images" restricts them to the confines of these glowing boxes they're too often "trapped" in. Gotta get 'em out where they belong - printed and hanging proudly on the wall next to the other "pieces" that traditional artists nail up after ruining their carpet spilling paint on the floor when they made them - lol. Thanks for stopping by and for your MUCH appreciated encouragement and faves on my art! Sssshhhh - try to be a little quiet because the "baby" is still sleeping inside the round "egg". :-) Rick ***(Fine art giclee' prints of most of my work are available in limited edition on archival paper or canvas - e-mail: drahcir3@hotmail.com and get busy filling that empty spot on the wall! Unique, "one-of-a-kind" (edition size = 1) prints are also available*** :-)

LOL! You're so funny! Not to worry, I like the orb! grin And I agree with you on calling them "pieces", and not just iamges--I go back and forth between those two terms, myself. And yes, a LOT more of our art should be printed out and hanging up for people to see! You're absolutely right about that one! Beautiful piece here, too--so well put together, with such great colors and texture! And it looks so much like the sun shining through that leaf up at top! Very well done, and a favorite is born! :D
