Description

[best viewed full sized] This shot was taken in Betsy-Coed, North Wales, whilst out taking photos of the waterfalls that are there with Chrissy, aka BibbyBear, a couple of weeks ago. I took this after seeing it by chance after dropping my lens cover and then bending down to pick it up! It was taken initially as just a fun shot, but the more I looked at it the more I liked it. I'm still having problems keeping my exif data once I have loaded my frame on, so until I fix the problem or have time to make some new frames; Camera: Nikon D80 Shutter speed: 1/13 sec F number: 5.3 Focal length: 42mm ISO speed: 400 I'm also still not able to spend much time in the galleries at the moment, but I will be trying whenever I get spare time. Thanks for looking, and any comments and critique are more than welcome. Edit note: the location where this shot was taken is actually Betws-y-Coed, and not as written (above), although it is pronounced the same! Lol. Thanks to Chrissy for the correction!

Superb Capture, great photography but also forgive me for thinking the reflection reminds me of Clint Eastwood in an old Spaghetti Western but that aside its a very clever photo.

This was an impulsive capture-of-the-moment and it really has turned out brilliantly Carl. The clarity is perfect and I love the shape of the puddle, it adds an almost abstract feel to the shot. The details of the textures and colours are fantastic and of course, the main attraction - your reflection.... always perfect to me! I'm so pleased that you finally got round to uploading this one but for the record, my darling "Englishman"... the place we were at is called Betws-y-Coed in Wales LOL!! I'll forgive you, it's better than Klingon at least!!! Huge hugs babe. xxooXooxx

I think this is a rather cool image to it Carl. It's pretty much 2D yet the reflection, texture, water and clarity create a lot of depth and a rather good image to look at for a long time.

The thubnail is deceiving, I thought it was you captured by Chrissy through some sort of sheet metal. Open it up and it's totally different to what I thought. Well spotted, I think it is fantastic, it actually looks quite a few inches deep, is that some pebbles I see at the bottom, I think I might have been getting my hands wet, delving down. Excellent capture, started off fun maybe, but its also art. Bravo!!!!!
