Description
Can you believe I took this shot today. The tortoiseshell butterfly is sitting on a scabius flower in Thomme's garden! Thomme is on holiday.. so I snook in his garden!!
I am today removing ratings from my work. I am very disappointed with some RR members who say very sweet words then drop my ratings drastically!!!. I have always given my all to my gallery... I will continue to do so. Have a beautiful eventime. Hugs. Diane.

I saw a beauty too today and I had my camera with me but by the time I got ready to snap, it had dissappeared. This is a lovely close encounter, the colours of the butty and the flower are wonderful, great capture. told you I was too slow lol.

Beautiful work Diane and i understand your dismay over this damn stupid rating system i always give the top mark because i dont think anyones art should be rated on a forum we are showing our art for pleasure and it is nice to get feed back this is not a competition we are trying to support and encourage each other not to compete against each other like kids oh mine is better than yours sob sob she or he got more comments than me sob sob i mean pleaseeeeee were all friends grown adults and the odd few big kids that need to grow up and your photo's always brighten my day keep smiling and be happy superb work as always hugs lou x

This is a great shot, and I love the fact that the detail is exquisite enough to show butterfly fuzz! That's always a plus since butterfly fuzz isn't the easiest thing in the world to capture! This is a fantastic shot, brilliantly captured, composed, and presented. There's passion in this work as well, it shows in the utterly gorgeous ability to capture details, colors, and light.
