Description
This is another flower from the same place as yesterday, for Alans information it is down by the Urban Gallery, on the car park. PJ mentioned having something in her garden similar to these and as you can see this one is a different colour. Thanks to Tara for the information regarding this pretty WEED.
Thank you for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make, CC is apreciated.
May the sun shine down on you, where ever you are. Have a nice week Y'all.

Absolutely gorgeous! I actually love these, and it breaks my heart that I can't put them in my garden. (I have a stream that runs through my property. It would be irresponsible.) Don't think of it as a weed, think of it as an exotic plant that is well suited to your environment! :)

It really is nice to see that someone else sees these flowers and knows something about them. I have asked people for the past 3 years if they knew what it was and everyone was stumped. I think I may have a domesticated variety though. The flowers look the same but the leaves are a little smoother. I have a red, orange, white and pink in my yard and they do seem to come up everywhere. Nice shot.

I suppose if you looked at your photo everyone would think, great photo of a pretty orchid type flower (and a good shot it is too). However, if you took a picture of the vast overgrown areas of them with their hollow bamboo type stems and looking like they have strangled the life out of anything else that once grew there, people may have a different opinion. Perhaps its another example of, "pretty things are not always what they seem". Enjoyed the bit of banter here Jeff. Nice one.
