Description

Hundreds of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes. Thousands of acres have burned, Hundreds of homes have been destroyed and Hundreds more are still in danger. One life has been lost. The Firefighters rush in, (as families flee) fight these horrible fires and try their best to save what they can! They are there hour after hour, day after day; in the wind, the heat, and the fire. It is amazing what they do! So I want to THANK all firefighters for their dedication to the job they do! (I am lucky, no fires here. Just smoke, wind and wind damages.) Thanks to you all for viewing and commenting on my last upload, Wind, Smoke, and Ash, My Town And thank you for your prayers... ~HUGS~ Update: Over 1500 homes lost, and thousands more in danger!

That top shot is great. I love the composition. Fantastic shots, all. I have some family down there but I have no information on their city but its on the coast so I think they are ok. Still, this nightmare is devistating to the people and the wildlife. Both are going to be homeless when this is over with.

A fitting tribute to these brave men, they say only fools rush in where angels fear to tread but this is not true. The firemen world wide also rush in, their courage and tenacity is renown throughout the world, I do not call them fools. I join you in your tribute and your prayers. God bless all firemen and keep them safe from harm, especially in California during this devestating time. God bless them all.
