Description
Captured 8/13/07 around 7:30 AM, about two miles from my abode.
This is the fascinating bark of a pine tree, strongly enhanced by the early morning sunlight.
I held off showing any bark photos while Babuchi -- of Wooden Skin series fame -- was off on sabbatical, but now that she's back I'm free to continue the series so she can also see my endeavors in that area.
Have a Happy Hump Day of unimaginable proportions.

It seems your tree is drooling. Still, it is a very nice drool to be sure. Great texture in this shot. Cool shot!

Amazingly crystal clear shot, and it is oozing sap isn't it?? Love the lighting which has enhanced the texture really well. Really good capture!!! xx

Thanks Harry to wait it out my returning with your bark series, so I can have a full pleasure to admire your work. This capture is full of energy, like a dripping amber from a middle and so much cracked up, poor little bugs and ants have a hard time traveling on it.

What a spectacular shot! The light is quite wonderful, and the pitch seems to glow from within. I'm glad Tunde is back, so we can see the further installments of your bark series!
