Description

I took this in a Dallas church that I have made many photographs of the outside, but never had the opportunity to go inside until recently.a member that was mowing the grass offered to let me inside.the architecture Gothic Revival style is unique to Dallas The Architecture Designed by W.A. Caan and built in 1903, Grace Church is the only Gothic Revival style building of its stature in the city and may be the only surviving high French Gothic revival building in Dallas. The building is recognized by city, state and national historical societies as a historic landmark, remaining essentially unaltered since 1903, except for the addition of the educational unit in 1925. With its tall tower and spire, picturesque form and ornamental masonry, this monumental church watches over the activity of East Dallas with a grandeur befitting its name. In the sanctuary, the elegant simplicity of the design and the splendor of massive stained glass windows often cause hurried visitors to pause with reverential awe. they have limited membership now so they provide an invaluable service to the diverse population of East Dallas having a full clinic for health of children of parents without means to pay, and have services of various faiths thanks for viewing and any comments.I will try to catch up after being gone for 8 days

This is a great shot. Love the POV. It is not easy getting pictures on the inside of a church. Some think it isn't proper or respectful. Glad they let you in for this wonderful picture. Aloha

Marvelous. Beautiful glass work. In most churches here in Holland it is not aloud to take a photo. And in the churches that are not used as church anymore and open for public they sell they’re own photos. Great capture.
