Description

The Nats are very important in the lives of all are Burmese, as well as other peoples of Theravada Buddhism They are spirits, beings, I think that our words do not means anything in this kind of matter The Nats are everywhere, especially in the land and the people must mae offerings frequently They never begin a construction without a cerimonie for the Nats In Thailand virtually every house, shop, bank or a high-tech company has a home for the Nats It is better to be in good relationship with them! At the Shwedagon templethe Nats taen a huge place, with big statues, in front of which people make offerings But not just anyone! You do not know, but you have your Nat! In the foreground, Nat Tuesday Why? Because it is MY Nat, I was born on a Tuesday and the minumum I can do is pay tribute and put it in a leading position! I hope he enjoy! There are several forms of offerings to the Nats In Burma, one of the most frequent and most beautiful, is put fresh water on the Nats With the heat outside, you understand! Even without being a Nat we want too! Behind, in a hundreds of corners, I discovered a Nat not beautiful, a little hidden and politically incorrect, The people offers cigarrettes to him But he never have my offerings It is against my religion

I once bought a Boehm porcelain gold plated Selkut as was from tut's tomb. I kept it on my Chinese fruitwood dresser in my bedroom. A secular woman came in one time with my wife and began to denounce it as graven. Later she bought a fibreglass copy with very carefully cut grooves finer than possible in glazed porcelain. She said it was better for that reason. Little did she know that I kept mine as a symbol of the SA-6's and MIGs that were defeated in 1973.

Although it is not my religious belief, as well, one must appreciate the beauty in this religion of Burma. Their art work is stunning and your photo of it is equally as stunning. Bravo!
