Description

Here is another shot of those ball flowers I posted a month or two ago. I find some still blooming and this time I show the seed it makes. That big green pod. I do not think it good to eat. I know some flowers you can eat but I do not think you can with this one. They grow on a bush about seven feet tall and wide too. I had a tripod so I was walking around at the time. I will scan my gator and post it tomorrow. I just hope it good with out camera movement. If not I post it anyway with my other gator shot I got on the hard drive now with a empty gator nest. I need to stop this . talking of shots i did not even post. lol You all must be mix up on the imformation on these shots I post lol sorry i try to do better write ups on each photo and not chase rabbits thanks for looking and comments I thank you all. i do not have time to sent each a thank you IM. Oh some one did sent me a flower web about Louisiana swamp flowers and i did not see this one. Guess I have to find a local nusery to find out what this is????

My dear Jocko, you may talk at length about anything you like - I just love to "listen" to you! You are never dull, and I am rarely confused about what you're talking about. I wish I could tell you what this fascinating bush is, but I have no idea. We live in such different climates . . . In any event, it's totally cool. Thanks for sharing it!

A very interesting flower and I don't know what it is either, but the leaf shape looks similar to a Fig, maybe it's a wild Fig ? Neat composition and the DOF really high-lights the flower shape and form ! ~Cheers~ :o)

I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say your local nursery won't identify this either. I would look on-line for a wild flower or native plant society. Usually they will accept photos for identification if you can't find your flower or plant in their photo files. This one is very interesting and you have a good shot here of it.

I can only fall back on my boy scout knowledge of swam flowers. Skunk cabbage? jack-in-the-pulpit? Not guesses, just the sparseness of my sight.

You never know Jocko, it might be a new discovery and then they will have to name it after you, it could become a 'Jockopompom'. Whatever it is, its an excellent shot of it, you sure do find some strange things, but I like them all. I would not be carrying a tripod about in that swamp, like I said before a shotgun maybe 'n a few dead chickens. Fantastic work. Bravo!!!!!
